Constructed in 1917, Star M Barn boasts a rich history detailed by its distinctive gothic arch roofline and rustic ambiance. Purchased by the Mellows family in 2017, the property has been lovingly restored with a keen eye on preserving its historical integrity while introducing modern conveniences essential for today’s events. The Mellows family, originally from Northern Nevada, brought their passion for revitalization and community engagement to Bozeman, transforming the barn into a beloved venue for weddings and celebrations.

One cool thing about the Star M barn is that it is an open-concept venue. Meaning that couples are encouraged to make the venue their own!
Renting the venue grants full access to the barn and surrounding lawn areas. Each wedding booked includes a rental for approximately two and a half days. This allows ample time for couples to set up and tear down. The Barn’s use hours are from 12 PM-5 PM the day before the wedding, 10 AM-11 PM the day of your event, and check out is at 10 AM the following day.

- A luxury restroom trailer for use during wedding weekend.
- A wall tent for groom and groomsman use the day of the wedding.
- 220-V power outlet on the south side of the barn for food truck/catering use.

- Dry bar located in the southwest corner of the second floor of the barn. Vintage retro freezer for ice included.
- Rustic farm-style wood tables and wood benches for up to 120 people (if desired)
- Access to the venue for two tours leading up to the event (must be communicated and agreed upon by the venue).
- Use of the event space for setup and/or rehearsal. Rehearsal dinner hours are available for an additional charge.
