Hart Ranch Weddings: The Ultimate Venue for Your Montana Dream Wedding

Hart Ranch is a 50-acre wedding venue in Gallatin Gateway, about 20 minutes south of Bozeman. The property is anchored by the Montana Barn — a modern barn with high ceilings, dimmable lights, and sliding doors that open onto a patio with Spanish Peaks views. What sets Hart Ranch apart is the flexibility: open vendor policy, no menu or beverage restrictions, and your choice of caterer. They handle the space, the setup, and the cleanup. You handle the rest however you want.

I’ve shot weddings here and it’s a genuinely beautiful property. The open-air chapel with the Spanish Peaks behind it is one of the better ceremony backdrops in the valley, and the grounds give you tons of room for photos without ever leaving the venue.

The Venue

The main reception space is the Big Sky Room — high ceilings, exposed beams, dimmable lighting, and sliding doors that open onto the patio and lawn. It fits up to 225 guests with room to dance. There’s also the Montana Room for additional space and the Round Up Bar with a fully functioning bar and large sitting area with fireplace.

Outside, you’ve got the open-air chapel for ceremonies, a reflection pond, a fire pit with chairs, a manicured lawn, a lit patio area, and food truck parking with hookups. The property sits on 50 acres in Gallatin Gateway at 73800 Gallatin Rd, Gallatin Gateway, MT 59730 — 20 minutes from Bozeman and 12 miles from the airport.
