Bodhi Farms: Sustainable Wedding Venue in Bozeman
Bodhi Farms is a 35-acre sustainable wedding venue on Cottonwood Road, about 12 miles south of downtown Bozeman. It sits right up against the Gallatin Mountains with Cottonwood Creek running through the property and canyon views in every direction. If you’re a couple that cares about sustainability and wants an outdoor wedding that actually feels like Montana, this is worth a serious look.
The venue started as an eco-resort and has evolved into one of Bozeman’s most unique wedding spots. They use solar power, reclaimed materials, organic gardens, and composting — it’s not just a marketing angle, it’s built into how the property operates.
Season: June through early October.

A Photographer’s Take
I photographed a wedding at Bodhi Farms and the whole venue shines at golden hour. The farm itself is beautiful — the creek is a great spot for portraits, and the canyon backdrop gives you that big Montana feel without driving an hour out of town. The light in the evening is some of the best I’ve worked with at any Bozeman venue.
Venue Spaces
The Backyard Event Park
The main event space, nestled along Cottonwood Creek at the mouth of Cottonwood Canyon. Accommodates up to 125 guests (more with an additional tent rental). For 2026, the venue is transitioning to a new large sailcloth tent replacing the previous Nordic-style tipis.
Includes: sailcloth tent, two bride & groom tipis, dance floor, basic lighting, tables & chairs, catering kitchen, bar, 3 restrooms (men’s/women’s/ADA), electricity and running water.
The Garden Table
An intimate outdoor space in a beautiful aspen grove alongside a natural stream. Up to 50 guests. Perfect for rehearsal dinners, cocktail hours, or small receptions. Comes included with The Backyard for weddings. Has power but no running water — restrooms are a short walk in the Backyard.
Bride & Groom Tipis
Two private 24-foot tipis by the creek for the wedding party to get ready. Each holds up to 12 people.
- Bridal Tipi — Wood floor, tall makeup station, white chairs, green velvet couch, full-length mirror, bar cart, electricity
- Groom Tipi — Gravel floor, leather/cowhide chairs, blue velvet couch, full-length mirror, electricity
Both look out to the ceremony site but are separated for a first look option. Available June–September.
